Who is Carol?
Okay, so I’m Angela, but who the heck is Carol?
Carol is the Carol, my grandma, Carmen’s wife, and the quiet force behind everything we’ve built. She’s never wanted the spotlight, but she’s always been the reason this shop has a heart. When my grandpa started selling fabric out of his house in the 1970s, naming the store after her just made sense. Carol’s Fabric Shop is her legacy, too.
When Carmen first opened the business, it wasn’t a big dream, it was survival. After losing his job at a clothing manufacturer, he began selling fabric from his home to get by. That hustle turned into multiple storefronts over the years, and eventually landed in our longtime Brunswick location.
From day one, his mission was simple: offer unique, high-quality fabric you couldn’t find anywhere else, and make it affordable. We still follow that same philosophy. All of our fabric is sourced ethically from places like the USA, Germany, and Italy, etc and we do everything we can to keep prices fair, just like we always have.
Fast forward to today: I’m Angela, Carmen and Carol’s granddaughter, and I’ve taken the reins. With the times changing, we’re going back to our roots and operating out of our warehouse while I work on getting our enormous inventory online (finally!).
You can now shop from anywhere and either have your order shipped or pick it up locally. Want to stop by in person? Just schedule an appointment - we’d love to see you.
Fair warning: it’s a big job. Thousands of bolts, trims, stones, and notions to organize, photograph, and upload, so things might be a little chaotic for a bit. Thanks for being patient while we sort it all out.
If you’d like to hear about new fabric, warehouse hours, sewing lessons (eventually), and everything else we’ve got going on, make sure to subscribe to our email list. We'd love to keep you in the loop. And no, we won't spam you. Promise!

"By far the best fabric shop in Northeast Ohio. We drive over an hour several times a year just to come to Carol's Fabric Shop. They have fabrics you won't find anywhere else, especially for dance, ice skating, or pageant outfits. Highly recommend anyone working with any kind of fabric, from stetchy to cotton to upholstery to visit this local business and support them!"

I just visited the new location...and WOW! No words for the vast amount of fabric....fabric heaven. I went in to purchase lycra for some skating outfits. I showed Carmen a picture of a COLOR. He immediately walked down one of the many aisles and BAM...it was in my hand. I left with EXACTLY what I needed as well as stunning selections from the master of fabric himself...Carmen! Beautiful skating costumes abound whenever I visit Carol's fabrics. Truly a tradition! So happy his granddaughter Angela has joined Carmen. She is always so helpful and together with him Carol's fabrics remains the most unique fabric store and the only one you need! For my skating costumes it is truly my biggest asset. But Carol's Fabrics has every sewing need. If you are making pillows, blouses, ballgowns or baby clothes it is your one stop shop!!!

"Amazing prices and customer service. The woman was EXTREMELY kind and helpful. I walked in with no clue and she set me straight. I was working on a home project and we discussed different options and ideas. Only fabric store I will ever return to."
